One of DMFI’s main conditions, clearly stipulated in the Deed of Donation to beneficiary partner institutions is that the donated medical supplies and equipment are to be used exclusively for the poor and the needy and without charge whatsoever.

The shipments of medical supplies and equipment have helped and benefited countless underprivileged Filipinos who don’t have access to even the most basic medical care due to extreme poverty, not only in the Cebu region but also in other areas of the Philippines where there are many urban poor, like Metro Manila, a metropolis of nearly 20 million people.

The Destiny Medical Fund receives containers of medical supplies and equipment from charities in the USA and England and distributes them to hospitals and clinics that care for the poor and the needy.

Distribution of medical supplies and equipment

In the previous year, we hoped to donate much needed medical supplies and equipment to clinics and district hospitals. While we were in the process of building partnerships with the local government units and district hospitals for the implementation of our programs, we have seen that there is a need for the hospitals to have complete supplies and the most basic medical equipment to be able to serve the patients better rather than just referring them to the private and expensive hospitals which the majority of Filipinos cannot afford.
